I really enjoyed the combination of romance and comedy in this light-hearted show. The characters are adorable and you will instantly fall in love with the charming Louie.

The lead characters have great chemistry that shines throughout the show.

I loved how the female lead has a strong independent character in this show as compared to a dependent male lead.

This Korean drama brings relatable characters that are sure to win your heart.

In the beginning, I was a little irritated with Kim Hye jin but eventually, as the story unfolded, I completely fell in love.

The story revolves around two people who are childhood acquaintances who meet each other later in life. The show has four characters who are given equal importance in the story.

This is one of those few stories with literally no villain or any bad people against the main characters.

The story flows smoothly from start to end and some scenes might seem a bit cringy.

Okay if you liked Strong Woman Bong Do Soon, you’ll definitely like this comedy K drama. It has a got a similar plot. But unlike the former, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo is more of a coming of age drama with some romance sprinkled in.

The story revolves around a bunch of aspiring college athletes including our titular character Kim Bok-joo who works in her father’s chicken shop and dreams of making it into the weightlifting competition in her college.

Now the twist in the story comes with Bok-joo falling in love with her best friend’s older brother, the handsome athlete Jung Jae-Yi who at once is her rival, bully, mentor, and friend all in one.

I love how heartwarming this romantic comedy K-drama makes you feel. It’s a light watch with 16 episodes that you can finish in one weekend.

The show didn’t do well in terms of ratings when it first aired between 2016-2017 but since the as gathered a cult-following. And if you see the show on Viki or Kocowa, you’ll see why!

Rating: 8.5/ 10

Genre: Romantic Comedy

Where To Watch It: Netflix

Okay this one was trending on Netflix for so long, I simply had to watch it. And I’m glad I did as it’s one of the funniest Korean dramas out there. Not to mention among the most romantic as well.

The plot revolves around a hardened, no-nonsense businessman who’s suddenly faced with a shock. His very competent and able secretary wants to leave to get married.

In no way wanting to lose a brilliant employee, he does what any sane person would – he decides to woo and marry her!

Yes, this story sounds completely bonkers but that’s K-dramas for you.

I love the chemistry between the main leads in the show. In my opinion, it’s what makes this such a great watch.

This show is also one of the Korean dramas based on webtoons. So you can even read the original called “Why Secretary Kim”, before you start watching the show.

Here you go! Those were the best funny Korean dramas to watch.

You can watch these shows on different platforms like Netflix, Viu, MXPlayer, and more.

Koreans have a unique sense of humor. I personally love their dark comedies and romantic funny Korean dramas.
