I used some of the top Korean moisturizers on own oily skin and then rated them on a scale of 1-5 based on the factors I’ve listed out below.

• Moisturizing Ability – Any moisturizer must firstly hydrate skin and this is what I checked for.
• Grease-Free Formula – The formula for a moisturizer for oily skin must not be rich or creamy as it can feel heavy and clog pores. So I looked at how light the formula is and if it is a gel or serum type moisturizer.
• Ingredients Quality – The moisturizers shouldn’t have harsh ingredients like alcohol, heavy perfume, comedogenic components, etc. So that’s another thing I looked at.

Best Korean Moisturizers For Oily Acne Prone Skin

The first thing I noticed about this cream was that it had a moist, but non-sticky formula that is perfect for those with oily skin. It feels like a regular old cream to touch, but spreads easily across your face and feels really good on application.

Apparently this moisturising cream for oily skin contains hibiscus as chief ingredient. Hibiscus is most popularly known as an anti-ageing plant for the numerous benefits it provides to keep your skin youthful.

So that was a plus for me when I bought it. But I used it for about 6-7 weeks and I couldn’t see any noticeable anti-ageing effects. Although it’s a great moisturizer, it’s al that it is.

I love how light it felt on my skin. It feels like you haven’t applied anything at all!

And this product is free of sulphates, parabens, mineral oils and phthalates too. So extra points for that.

I however have one complaint with this cream. It contains added perfume. While that isn’t a bad thing as the fragrance is awesome, it can be problematic for sensitive oily skin. So I’d suggest getting something more mild like the Belif moisturizer or something more suitable for sensitive skin like Cosrx.

Best Astringent Korean Moisturizer For Oily Skin

The reason why I was intrigued by this Cremolab moisturizer is because it is a gel-based moisturizer. Since it is chief ingredient is water it seemed like a good option for my oily skin.

However what I loved most about this moisturizer is that the product can also be used on even sensitive and acne-prone skin types because of its gentle ingredients that do not cause any irritation.

I loved how the formula felt. So soft and easy to spread on the skin. It also lacks any sort of fragrance which was a huge plus for me as some perfume-based moisturizers had irritated my skin previously.

Another thing I liked about this produt is that the Royal Bulgarian Rose oil in it actually balances the skin’s natural oil production. So it’s not just a good cream (or gel rather) for oily skin, it can actually help control excess oiliness on skin.

And it wasn’t false advertising either! I found it left my skin with a soft, matte finish for hours after application.

It also helped calm down the redness on my face, probably thanks to the witch hazel which incidentally is also supposed to be really good for tackling acne.

This moisturiser is free of parabens, artificial fragrance, artificial colours and mineral oils too which was a huge plus for me.

So does it have any negative points? I’d say the price was a bit high compared to moisturizers like Mamonde or Belif. But I felt it is worth it if you have sensitive oily skin!

I had heard so much about this product as it’s a cult classic but boy nothing could have prepared me for how awesome this moisturizer is!

It has a whipped texture that provides a burst of moisture into your skin upon application. It didn’t feel even a little bit greasy or sticky on your skihn.

The product guarantees to provide up to 26 hours of intense hydration and while I wouldn’t go that far, I can definitely tell you that this moisturizer makes your skin feels soft for hours!

I like how it didn’t just superficially moisturize my skin like most creams do. Instead, it seemed to penetrate moisture right into my skin.  

Another thing I loved about this product is the inclusion of Comfrey leaf extract in the formula. It reduces inflammation and redness on my skin almost instantly.

If you like in a hot country, let me give you a little tip. You can actually refrigerate this cream for a few minutes before application. It feels heavenly cool!

According to me it’s the perfect moisturizer for oily skin in the summers!
