The main reason why I tested out this Face Shop White Seed Serum is because it claims to moisturize skin, balance oil production, whiten skin, etc. etc.

So I wanted to see if it really is an “all-rounder” as it claims to be. And after using it for 6 weeks, I’ll say the results were a bit mixed so to speak.

Let’s first get to what I liked about the “brightening” serum. I loved how it comes enriched with natural ingredients like lupin white seed, daisy flower extracts, and niacinamide which is super effective at whitening skin.

In fact, it is hundred times more effective than vitamin C in removing dark spots, pigmentation, and blemishes, this serum is just the thing you need for a milk-like white and clear complexion.

And yes, I could definitely see it’s skin brightening effects as it cleared out my complexion.

There’s also hydrating hyaluronic acid which makes this product fantastic for combination and dry skin types as it’s both hydrating and lightweight.

Also, this serum soothed my skin’s redness and irritation to a little extent, probably due to the panthenol in the formula.

Now for the bad part. I was sorely disappointed to see that this serum contains silicones. This can aggravate acne in sensitive skin types as it traps dirt and bacteria in the pores.

So if you have acne-prone skin I’d suggest using the Dear Klairs or Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum instead.

Also the serum contains added perfumes and while this gives it a wonderful fragrance, it makes it unsuitable for sensitive skin type.

Most Vitamin C serums are too harsh on dry skin types. But this product is super mild and suitable for even the most sensitive, dry skin. 

What I liked most about this serum is that all ingredients here are natural and chosen according to the Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety Standards.

There are no parabens, alcohol, or other harsh chemicals here. So it’s a-okay for sensitive skin.

I used this Korean vitamin C serum for about 5 weeks and let me tell you it’s fantastic at removing even the most stubborn dark spots and blemishes. 

The only issue I had with this serum is it’s packaging. Vitamin C needs to be stored in a dark bottle as sunlight can break it down and render it almost useless. So I suggest transfering the product in a darker glass bottle or keeping this container in a cool, dark place.

Also, if you very inflamed, sensitive skin, it would be wiser to layer this serum with a moisturizer to reduce any unpleasantness.
