Big Hit Music is owned by its founder Bang Si-hyuk and was established in the year 2005, on the 1st of February.
In the year 2021, Big Hit Music became a subsidiary of the Hybe Corporation after its divide from Hybe. Presently they have two bands BTS and TXT who work under them along with solo artist Lee Hyun.

Lee Hyun Big Hit Photoshoot
Lee Hyun is a 38 year-old South Korean singer who debuted in 2007 along with his band 8Eight. He has been a trainee with Big Hit since 2005, and he signed up for the label in 2007.
Lee Hyun was part of the band until they disbanded in 2014. During this time from 2010 to 2018, he also was a member of the presently disbanded vocal duo ‘Homme’. At Present, Lee Hyun works as a solo artist with Big Hit Music.
Lee Hyun released his very first single as a solo artist in 2009. His first song was as a duet with Lim Jeong-hee called ’30 Minutes Ago’ and has had a very successful career with Big Hit Music over the years.
In 2021, he went on to renewing his contract with Big Hit Music and opened his very own YouTube channel, to celebrate his 14th year with the company and also released his first single after his contract renewal called ‘Moon in the Ocean’.
Lee Hyun has not only made his name in the music industry but has also starred in various television shows like in the second season of ‘Let’s Go! Dream Team’, the organized sports variety programme between 2010 – 2011.
He also made appearances in two episodes of the South Korean singing competition ‘The King of Mask Singer’ in 2015. Lee Hyun also stars in a web show called ‘Musi Kwang Company’ in 2021.
Lee Hyun was nominated for the Best Vocal Solo Performance in 2011 at the Mnet Asian Music Awards.
Apart from his professional career, Lee Hyun also served as an Active-Duty Soldier for 21 months in the mandatory military service of South Korea.

Well, I’m sure this name is one that is undoubtedly familiar all around the world!
The Bangtan Boys, the worldwide sensation, the boys who go as BTS (also known as Bulletproof Boy Scouts or Bangtan Sonyeondan) are renowned for their fame and popularity as one of the most famous K-Pop boy bands in history!
BTS was formed in 2010 and made their debut in 2013 under Big Hit Music and have been active ever since then.
The boy band consists of the septet – Kim Nam-Joon (RM), who is the leader of the group and the first member to join BTS.
There are 6 other members Min Yoon-gi (Suga), Jung Ho-seok (J-Hope), Jeon Jung-kook (Jungkook), Kim Seok-jin (Jin), Kim Tae-hyung (V) and Park Ji-min (Jimin).
BTS started off a hip-hop group but have evolved in the style and genres of music over the years.
They made their debut with their single ‘2 Cool 4 Skool’ and thereafter released ‘Dark and Wild’ their very first studio album in the Korean language, along with ‘Wake Up’ in 2014, in the Japanese language.
BTS has broken many records ever since their debut including becoming the first Korean group to become certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), after their single ‘Mic Drop’ released in 2017.
In 2017, they became the first Korean act to top the Billboard 200 in the United States of America with their album ‘Love Yourself: Tear’.
In 2020, BTS released ‘Dynamite’, their Grammy-nominated single and thereafter became the top number one first all-South Korean act to top Billboard Global 200 and US Billboard Hot 100.
BTS has also been the fasted act to achieve five US number-one singles for their songs ‘Savage Love’ (2020), ‘Life Goes On’ (2020), ‘Butter’ (2021) and ‘Permission to Dance’ 92021), a feat that had been previously achieved by the late Michael Jackson.
BTS has gained fame for being the best-selling artist in the history of South Korea with a salve of over 32 million albums on the Gaon Music Chart.
This Kpop band has also won 443 awards and has been nominated 636 times ever since their debut in 2013 and are presently one of the most famous bands in the world.

RM (Kim Nam-joon)
RM is the 27 year-old leader of the group and the first member to join BTS. He is a singer, songwriter and rapper of the band and is known to be the third richest among the members.
Suga (Min Yoon-gi)
Suga is also one among the band’s rappers and is also a songwriter as well. The 28 year-old joined the band after RM and is currently known to be the second richest among the members.
J-Hope (Jung Ho-seok)
At 27, J-Hope was the third member to join BTS and is the richest member of the band, while he is one among the 15 top richest Korean K-Pop idols. He is one among the three rappers of the group and is known to be an extraordinary dancer.
Jungkook (Jeon Jung-kook)
The youngest BTS member at 24, Jungkook is one of the most popular BTS members worldwide. He is also one of the lead vocalists of the band and is known for his superb dance moves.
Jin (Kim Seok-jin)
The oldest member of BTS, Jin is now 29. He joined the band after Jungkook and is known to have powerful vocals, apart from being a songwriter as well.
V (Kim Tae-hyung)
Known to be the ‘Most Handsome Man in the World’ as of 2021, 26 year-old V was one among the last to join BTS as he was kept a “secret member”. He is one of the vocalists of the group.
Jimin (Park Ji-min)
The South Korean heartthrob, 26 year-old Jimin, was the last to join BTS, but is one among the most popular K-Pop idols. He is known for his strong vocals and amazing dance moves.
TXT (TOMORROW X TOGETHER) Big Hit Photoshoot
Another well-known K-Pop all-boy band is the five-member band TXT. The members include Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and HueningKai, who made their debut in 2019 and have been active ever since then.
TXT has won 26 awards and been nominated 75 times in the course of their career as a band. Their debut album peaked at the number one position on the Gaon Album Chart and also at the Billboard World Awards Chart. They also earned the 140th position in the US Billboard 200, becoming the highest-charting male K-Pop group to have debuted.
In the course of their career, TXT has earned several titles and achievements to their credit including becoming the fastest K-Pop group to appear in World Digital Songs. They also became the second fastest K-Pop group to appear in Billboard Emerging Artist.
As new artists back in 2019, they also received the Rookie of the Year Award at the Golden Disc Awards and also at the Melon Music Awards, both in the year 2019. They also won the Best New Male Artist at the Mnet Asia Music Awards in 2019.
TXT has also appeared in various TV shows including the reality show ‘One Dream. TXT’ in 2019, ‘Playground’, a 2021 variety show, ‘TO SO X Tomorrow X Together’, a 2021 variety show and also in Hybe Labels artists joint concert ‘2021 NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE’.
