Check out my list of the most epic BTS hairstyles since debut. I’ve listed out BTS haircuts names along with pictures of BTS members like V, RM, Jungkook, etc. wearing them.
BTS have not only established themselves in the music industry as one of the biggest artists in the world, they’ve also taken the fashion sphere by storm.
Yes, BTS is a trailblazer when it comes to men’s fashion. Their androgynous looks and stylish hairstyles are right at par with international celebs like Harry Styles, etc.
I’ve always loved how they experiment with different haircuts and hair colors each time a new album releases or they go into a new “era”.
So today, I thought I’d talk about some of BTS’s most popular hairstyles right from the start to this year.
In the article below I’ve listed out some of my favorite hairstyles BTS’s members have sported since their debut in 2015. Check it out!

Epic BTS Hairstyles Since Debut
Here are some of the most popular hairstyles worn by BTS since their debut.
RM’s Mohawk During Debut Season
If you think BTS has gotten this stylish only recently you’re mistaken. Look at how chic RM’s hairstyle was during the BTS debut season. I mean a Mohawk? Damn!
I think this rather fluffy mohawk suited his personality to a T. Kim Namjoon is called RM on stage because it stands for Rap Monster. So this mohawk suited his cool, rap king persona so well.
Suga’s Red Braids
Speaking of cool debut hairstyles, he’s Suga with his braids. If anyone tells you that BTS is all about being cutesy and boyish, show them this hairstyle.
I love how wore his long hair in multiple thin braids and paired it with a hat. This looks was super chill yet so stylish. Also, the red colored hair was (quite ironically) the cherry on top of the cake.
V’s Fluffy Yellow Hair From the Butter MV
We all know V now as this brooding, quiet hunk. But his persona during the start of BTS’s journey was quite different.
Here he is looking like an anime character. His fluffy yellow hair drew up quite the comparisons. Some said he looked like the character Zenitsu Agatsuma from the anime Demon Slayer while others compared him to Dustin from Stranger Things.
Whoever you think Kim Taehyung looks like with this hair, you can be sure of one thing. This look was smooth like butter.
Jungkook’s Cute Cherry Red Bangs
Now doesn’t Jungkook look exactly like an anime character with this red hair? Also being the Maknae of BTS, he looked so young during their debut season.
I love the bangs hairstyle as it seems so popular with guys these days. And you can be sure that Jungkook is the blueprint!
RM’s Purple Hair In Not Today
Here’s another fabulous hairstyle from our lovely RM. His purple hair in Not Today was to die for. A lot of fans thought that he looked like the character Trunks from Dragon Ball Z with this hairstyle. And I’ll have to say I agree.
RM’s Blonde Undercut Hairstyle
If anyone can do edgy the right way in BTS, it’s RM. He has that natural unconventional vibe about him. And the thing I like most about RM is that he doesn’t shy away from sporting hairstyles that are not very commonly seen in South Korea.
You might remember the fantastic mohawk RM sported during BTS’s debut. So it’s no wonder that he experimented with his hair further to create the undercut hairstyle.
J-Hope’s Black Two Block Hairstyle In “Dynamite”
In “Dynamite”, J-Hope sports a black two block hairstyle that looks both edgy and stylish. The two block cut is a popular choice among K-Pop idols, and J-Hope definitely rocks the look!
His black hair is styled in a sleek, parted style that makes him look like a true superstar. I love how J-Hope’s hairstyle brings out his handsome features, and we think he looks absolutely amazing in “Dynamite”!
Jin’s Side Parted Shaggy Look With Pink Color
Jin’s shaggy, side-parted look with pink color is both playful and stylish. This look is perfect for those who want to add a touch of fun and personality to their hair.
The best thing about this look is that it is easy to achieve and maintain. Simply use a curling iron to create loose waves in your hair, then part it to the side. Add a touch of pink color to your strands, then finish off with a light-hold hairspray.
V’s Bangs Hairstyle With Green Highlight
V’s new bangs hairstyle with green highlights is a fun and funky way to add some color to your look.
The green highlights add a fun pop of color, and the bangs help to frame your face. This hairstyle is perfect for those who want to add a little bit of personality to their look.
Jungkook’s Purple, Layered Shoulder Length Hairstyle
Jungkook’s purple, layered shoulder length hairstyle is a statement in itself. The colors are eye-catching and vibrant, and the layers add a touch of dimension and texture. This style is perfect for those who want to make a bold statement with their hair, and it is sure to turn heads.
V’s Mullet Hairstyle
V, the leader of BTS, is known for his unique sense of style – and his mullet hairstyle is no exception! This edgy look is sure to turn heads, and V’s fans are loving it!
Some have even gone so far as to say that the mullet is the new “it” hairstyle, and we can definitely see why. It’s cool, it’s different, and it shows that V is always ahead of the trend.
Whether you love it or hate it, there’s no denying that V’s mullet is a statement. And I think that’s pretty awesome.
Jungkook’s Curly “Emo” Hairstyle
BTS’ Jungkook is known for his many different hairstyles, but he recently sported a new look
that had fans do a double take. The singer debuted a curly, “emo” style that had many people wondering if he was channeling his inner angst.
While Jungkook’s new hairstyle may be a bit out of the ordinary for him, it’s actually not that different from the styles he’s sported in the past. In fact, he’s no stranger to rocking curls, as he’s sported them in the past for both stage performances and photoshoots.
Whether he’s rocking his signature straight style or experimenting with something new, there’s no doubt that Jungkook always looks amazing. We can’t wait to see what hairstyle he debuts next!
FAQs about BTS’s Hairstyles
If you have any more queries about BTS’s hairstyles and haircuts, or their style in general, I’ve tried answering a few of your questions below. Take a look!
Who has the best hair style in BTS?
Oh, this is a tough question. I think all the Bangtan Boys have sported many stylish hairstyles since their debut in 2015. But in my personal opinion, it’s Jungkook, RM and Kim Taehyung that have experimented the most with their hair. They’ve also had a lot of growth fashion-wise as you can see that their personal style statement is very different from when they first started.
What is Taehyung hairstyle called?
Taehyung has had several hairstyles over the course of the years. He had straight forehead bangs during the debut period, shaggy curly hair after that, and in 2019 he broke the internet with his mullet hairstyle. He is currently sporting medium length slicked back hair. And as always is “breaking the internet”, this time for a single strand of hair that graced his forehead during the 2022 VMAs.
What hairstyle is Jungkook?
As of 2022, Jungkook is sporting what is called a mullet hairstyle. This hairstyle usually involves having a shorter front and sides and keeping hair at the back longer. Jungkook’s mullet hairstyle is slightly longer than traditional mullets, giving it a more sophisticated look.
Which BTS member has a mullet?
Several BTS members have sported a mullet in different years. RM once had a mullet and V sported a mullet back in 2019 as well. But as of now, it’s Jungkook who’s sending the fashion magazines into a frenzy with his longish mullet hairstyle. He first revealed the hairstyle in May 2022 in an advertisement.
Final Thoughts on the Best BTS’s Hairstyles
BTS have accomplished so much in their short time in the public eye.
They’ve not not only charted the Billboard Top 100 or performed in Grammy awards but they’ve also met the US President on a mission to stop Asian hate in America and visited the UN General Assembly meeting with South Korean president Yoon Suk-yeol.
And they’ve done it all while looking impeccable!
As celebrities, BTS have impacted the fashion industry to a large extent as well.
You can see from the hairstyles list above that they’ve experimented with their looks so much.
From the anime-esque, brightly colored hair to more alternative grunge and emo haircuts, BTS’s members have done it all.
So which one is your favorite and why?
