It’s got a rich, intense color, doesn’t smudge easily and it’s resistant to water. So you can go swimming wearing this eyeliner too! This Korean waterproof eyeliner gives a glossy finish and can be used to create sharp, precise lines.

Liquid eyeliner: Liquid eyeliners are not easy to apply as you need to be really careful and have firm hands while applying the eyeliner.

It’s great to create dramatic looks and cat eyeliners. They take a longer time to dry and mostly give a shiny look. Liquid eyeliner gives a very sharp look and is often used by makeup artists.

Gel eyeliner: Gel eyeliners come in two styles: either pen or with pot and brush. They smudge easily which is why they’re good to create smoky eye makeup effects.

Gel liners are used more than liquid liners by makeup artists. It’s a little tricky to use but works best with eye shadows and other eye makeup. Gel eyeliners give out a glamorous look to your eyes.

Pencil eyeliner: Pencil eyeliners are very easy to use but the brush needs to be tipped well to create a smooth line.

They are good for beginners and are comparatively affordable as well. You can create quick makeup looks with this type of eyeliner.

Etude House Oh m’Eye Line Waterproof Eyeliner

The first Korean waterproof eyeliner I tried out was the Oh m’Eye liner by Etude House. And I was blown away by exactly how waterproof it was.

It didn’t come off after a shower or a whole day of work. Only using an oil-based cleansing balm or multiple wipes of micellar water can take this eyeliner off.

This is a liquid liner which comes with a sleek applicator with a pointed tip. So you can use it to create thin, sharp lines.

I also recommend this one if you’ve got hooded eyes. Most eyeliners smudge or crease immediately after application, but not this one. 

The only thing I found disappointing about this Etude House liner is that it isn’t as pigmented as I hoped. You’ll probably need to go over your lines once again for a stronger finish.

It’s not that big of a deal if you’re a pro at makeup. But doing the second one, and that too with a liquid eyeliner can get very difficult.

Clio Kill Black Waterproof Pen Liner

If you are an amateur at makeup application, you should begin with this Clio waterproof eyeliner. 

The pen design and unique felt tip make it super easy to create all sorts of eyeliner designs, from wing tips to fox eyes and more!

What I loved most about this liner was how pigmented the formula was on application. I just needed a single stroke to get amazingly rich color.

This is probably thanks to the carbon black formula that leaves an intense matte finish.

But I did find a few issues with the eyeliner. For starters, the tip is not very flexible. So you can find it difficult to create thin lines. 

And the new version of this liner has a rougher tip as most users have observed. 

The tip on the right is the newer one. See how it looks much less precise than the previous versions?

It doesn’t really come off in the rain or due to sweat. But this Clio liner isn’t as waterproof as the Etude House Oh m’Eye liner.

BBIA Last Auto Gel Eyeliner Slim

This was another Korean waterproof liner I liked. It comes in a pencil-like case which makes it super easy to apply. 

So it’s a great choice for beginners. And the best part is that the tip of the eyeliner pencil is just 2mm in thickness.

Which means, you get the sharp, thin lines like a liquid eyeliner without the skill necessary to apply it. 

Another thing I liked about this BBIA liner was the gel formula and Zero Friction technology. It glided so very smoothly on my eyelids! 

The BBIA liner has also got great water-resistance and sebum-resistance. Even if you live in a very sweaty climate or have oily skin, this eyeliner won’t run off or smudge easily.

• Good for people with oily skin

The TonyMoly Back Gel Real Fit Waterproof Liner is another easy to use product for people who are not too steady of hand. 

Just like the BBIA, it’s pencil-design helps you achieve all sorts of eyeliner looks without trying too hard. 

But unlike the BBIA it’s got a lot of variety in colors. So you can find not just the regular old black or brown here, but also blue, golden, maroon, rose, and more. 

The eyeliner also comes with a sharpener for you to get the tip just as thin and precise as you want it. 

I especially loved the color payoff. Some colored eyeliners do not give off an intense finish, but this TonyMoly eyeliner does. 

The only problem I had with the eyeliner was that it got too hard and dry. So get this one if you’re sure you’ll be using it every single day. 

It’s also priced higher than other eyeliners on this list.

CLIO Sharp So Simple Waterproof Pencil Liner

Okay, Clio has got some good eyeliners. And I loved the Kill Black one, so I just had to try this Sharp So Simple Korean waterproof liner too. 

But I was left slightly underwhelmed. Probably because I have oily skin type and this eyeliner seemed to smudge very easily just in a few hours of application.

The water resistance on this one is great! I have no complaints about that. But it’s definitely not meant for oily or even combination skin types. 

It’s got a very creamy formula, which makes it very smooth to apply, and also explains the smudging. 

The cylindrical shape of the tip also made it quite easy to use on monolid eyes.

Overall, it’s a great eyeliner. I was able to control the smudging a bit by applying a layer of fine powder over the eyeliner. 

It also shouldn’t be that much of an issue for dry skin types.

Etude House eyeliner gives a clear cut and defined eyeliner shape and is also water and sweat resistant. It comes in two colours: brown and black. All you need to do is glide the eyeline along your lash line from the middle to the tail and again in the reverse direction to get that perfect look.
