The group debuted on the 23rd of February in 2016 and consisted of six ASTRO members: Rocky, Eunwhoo, MJ, JinJin, Sanha, and Moonbin.
ASTRO comes under the management of the entertainment company Fantagio Universal which has branches in South Korea, Hong Kong, and Japan.

Rocky
- Real Name: Park Min Hyuk

Rocky has been one of the fan favourites in ASTRO and has been dubbed Chef Minhyuk by the Aroha fandom. He graduated from the Hanlim Multi Arts High School and is proficient in many dance genres like Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet and Tap.
In fact, his dancing skills have earned him the name “Dancing Machine” from the Fantiago management. Rocky has often said that he would be a dance teacher if he wasn’t a Kpop star.
He has also choreographed the dancing in the music videos of ASTRO songs Wake Up Call and Fireworks.
Another interesting fact about Rocky that most people wouldn’t know is that he has a black belt in Taekwondo. According to sources, his favourite colour is Red.

Often regarded by fans as one of the most handsome ASTRO members Eunwoo is a graduate of the Hanlim Multi Art School same as Rocky.
But while Rocky’s talents lie in dancing, Eunwoo is a fantastic actor. He has appeared in several Korean dramas like My ID is Gangnam Beauty, Rookie Historian Goo Hae-Ryung, and the web series My Romantic Some Recipe.
Eunwoo along with Jinjin is among the most fluent English speakers in the group. He is also very good at playing the violin, piano, and other musical instruments.
Between 2014-15, Eunwoo was also the brand ambassador of the Shara Shara Make-Up brand.
Moonbin

Moonbin enjoys the reputation of being the sweetest and most tender-hearted of the ASTRO members. In fact, fans of the Kpop group have nicknamed him “Sleepyhead” and “Puppycat” for his chocolate boy looks.
While Moonbin is the main vocalist of the group, he started out as a child actor. You might recognise him from the hugely popular 2009 drama Boys Over Flowers.
When asked what he would do if he wasn’t a Kpop singer, Moonbin gave quite a different answer from his bandmates. He said he wanted to be an athlete!

JinJin

JinJin was the 5th trainee to be announced by Fantiago iTeen. Fans often call him “Angelic Smile” because of this warm and sweet personality.
He is often considered as the group leader thanks to his skills as the lead rapper and dancer.
Like his teammates Rocky and Eunwhoo, Jinjin is also a professionally trained dancer from the Hanlim Multi Arts High School. He also has a degree in dance from the NY Dance Academy in his hometown Ilsan.
Jinjin has often said he would like to be a professional drummer if he wasn’t a Kpop star. This is not surprising considering how great of a drummer he is!
He is also a skilled beatboxer and rapper. But his skills aren’t limited to these.
Among the six ASTRO members, Jinjin (alongside Eunwoo) is the most proficient at English. He is also trilingual as he can speak Chinese as well.
MJ

Sanha

Although he considers food as his hobby, Sanha is actually allergic to seafood and cannot drink coffee.
